Stroller

Are all Glüxkind Smart Strollers Electric?

Yes, Glüxkind smart travel systems are electronic mobility systems powered by modular, removable batteries. Please read instruction manual on how to power it on and off as well as safe usage and maintenance of the stroller.

Does the stroller fold?

Yes. See this video guide on folding and unfolding the stroller.

Can I fold the stroller with the seat or bassinet on?

No. It is not recommended to fold the stroller with the seat or bassinet on. Please remove battery, seat or bassinet before folding.

How do I fold the stroller?

  1. Turn on the parking brake

  2. Remove seat or bassinet

  3. Remove battery

  4. Press down on the trigger on the two sides of the handlebar and push towards the stroller

  5. Ensure the folding latch is fully engaged

Please note, sometimes the front wheel may not swivel in place, watch the video below for best practices for ease of use.

How should I store my stroller when I am not using it?

When you're not using your stroller, you should store it in a clean and dry area away from direct sunlight. Make sure that you've folded the stroller properly and that there is no other item being hung or draped on the stroller while it's in storage. For long term storage of the battery, please follow the long term storage instructions found on the Battery FAQs page.

Can I use parts from other brands with my Glüxkind product?

No, we do not recommend using parts from other brands with your Glüxkind products. We pride ourselves on creating products based on high quality and standards. That’s why only genuine Glüxkind parts or products which have been approved by Glüxkind should ever be used in conjunction with the Glüxkind smart stroller.

Can I use my stroller on stairs or escalators?

No, you should NOT use your Glüxkind stroller on stairs and escalators to avoid risk of tipping. Any damage caused by using strollers on escalators or stairs will be deemed misuse and will not be covered under warranty. We recommend to always use the elevator or a ramp.

How do I use it’s features like automatic rock-my-baby or white noise playback?

How often do I need to charge the stroller?

Based on typical usage, approximately every week and half with the 48V Endurance Battery Pack. Please only use Glüxkind provided battery certified chargers. Read more about battery here.

Is that a camera on the handlebar? Or are there cameras on the stroller?

Yes. That is a camera on the handlebar. The Glüxkind smart stroller uses this camera to authenticate and authorize approved users via AI based facial recognition and user tracking. On the Rosa stroller this is the only camera. On the Ella stroller, there are 5 cameras in total to enable advance safety features such as danger detection and avoidance.

Glüxkind does NOT have any cameras that face the infant or child.

Can I use the stroller without an phone?

Yes, you can use the stroller with out an phone. Guest mode enables anyone to use the stroller when enabled.

Does the stroller support the weight of an adult?

No. The stroller seat is designed for a child occupant up to 50 lbs.

What do I do when I run out of battery during my walk?

The Endurance 48V Battery will last ~75km of mixed use, so typically about a week and half of usage (5 hours a day). You will be receiving low power warnings once you get below 20% battery charge.

In the event of that a battery is faulty or runs out, you may still use the stroller as a regular stroller and the pin brake mechanism will be manually usable.

AI

Are all Glüxkind autonomous? Does it roll itself?

No. Only select Glüxkind models such as Ella is capable of driving autonomously in Hands-Free mode. In Hands-Free mode, the parent must be within range otherwise the stroller will slow down, stop, and wait for the user.

Can I send the stroller to grandma’s house or around the block by it self?

No.

Can I leave the stroller rocking automatically unattended?

No. It is not recommended to leave the stroller unattended with an infant or child in any scenario .

Can the Glüxkind’s AI replace an care taker?

No. Glüxkind’s AI systems are here to augment the parenting experience through improved safety and convenience, it is not a suitable replacement for any core parenting activity.


What’s the difference between danger alerts and danger avoidance?

Ella’s AI will alert you of potential dangers, e.g. about to crash into an obstacle or speeding bike coming your way that is about to colide with you. These danger alerts come via the form of rapid haptic vibrations and blinking LED lights on the handlebar as well as escalating sounds as the danger levels increase. These danger alerts will be present while you are pushing or pulling the stroller.

Danger avoidance is when the stroller actively move out of the way of dangers to avoid collision by it self - driving autonomously. This only occurs in hands-free mode. When the user touches the handlebar, the control will be immediately given back to the user.

In other words, the user is always in control and Ella’s AI will do its best to alert or avoid dangers depending on circumstance.

Travel

Can I bring the Battery onto a plane and travel?

If you have the default Full Size Battery (the one that lasts ~75km of usage), you cannot bring this Battery onto a plane as it exceeds the 100Wh requirements for most airlines. If you wish to travel with the battery, you must ship the fullsized battery separately.

If you have the Travel Battery (Coming soon), then you may travel with it, however, this battery has reduced capacity and will require more frequent charging.

What can I do if my stroller gets damaged during transportation by an airline?

Damage from transportation (for example airline transportation) is not covered by the manufacturing warranty, however we can help you with the assessment of the damage and with useful documentation in case you need to make a claim to the airline's insurance to cover the cost of a new stroller or for a part to be replaced.

How do I travel with the stroller?

[Coming soon] Glüxkind offers specially designed travel bags that are tailored for air travel and baggage handlers to minimize chance of damage. Until said travel bag is officially available, the Glüxkind team has had success with travel bike bags with extra padding.

Seat & Bassinet

Why does my seat or bassinet look a bit different from the images on the website?

There are different regulatory requirements for different countries. Depending on which country you are in and where you purchased your stroller, the difference are reflected in the product to comply with local laws.

I am in the USA/Canada, does that mean I cannot not use the adjustable inclining bassinet mattress feature?

Unfortunately, yes, if you are in USA/Canada, regulatory requirements enforces the removal of this feature.

When should I switch from bassinet to seat?

The maximum weight of the child in the bassinet is 9 kg/20 lbs. The bassinet is suitable for children who can't yet sit in the upright position without support OR who are still unable to roll over and push themselves up on their hands and knees. Generally, this means children are ready transition to the stroller seat when they are approximately 6 months old.

It is important to keep in mind this will vary depending on your child's development. Please make sure your child meets all the development milestones listed above before transitioning them to the seat.

Can I use the bassinet in my car?

No. While in some countries it is common to use a bassinet in the car, the Glüxkind bassinet is not designed for this purpose. To ensure safety of your child, Glüxkind advises using only approved car seats when traveling with infants in a car.

Car Seat

Is it safe to use a pre-owned car seat?

Unless you know its full history, it is not recommended to use a pre-owned car seat. Previous crashes or damage may have compromised the car seat safety features that are not visible. It is always better to buy a new car seat for your child.


Can I keep using the car seat after an accident?

As a rule of thumb, No. Crashes or damage may have compromised the car seat safety features that are not visible. It is always better to buy a new car seat for your child.

Do car seats expire and how long can they be used?

Refer to the expiration date on the Car Seat for specifics. Generally car seats are typically rated between 5 to 10 years after manufacturing date.

Does the Rock-my-baby feature work with a car seat?

Yes. The rock-my-baby feature works on all glüxkind strollers with it’s respective supported seats, bassinets, and car seats.

Cleaning & Maintenance

How to take care of my stroller in snow, water/rain, sand, or grass?

Your Glüxkind smart stroller system is designed for normal daily use, and as such it will become dirty. Here are some tips on how to take care of it to keep it working well and lasting longer:

For all cleaning: DO NOT use abrasives.

Water/rain:

  • Wipe down with a dry cloth after rain.

  • Dry metal parts to prevent rust.

  • If submerged, contact support immediately. In the mean time, disassemble and let parts dry fully in a well ventilated space for a minimum 72 hours before reassembling and powering on. DO NOT POWER ON if any residual moisture or visible water residue remains after drying period.

Snow:

  • Remove snow from the frame, seat, and wheels.

  • Wipe it with a damp cloth with fresh water to remove salt or de-icing agents.

  • Let it dry indoors to prevent rust.

Sand:

  • Shake off sand outside and use a soft brush or cloth to clean hard-to-reach areas.

  • Wipe down with a damp cloth and let it dry completely.

Grass:

  • Brush off grass and debris from wheels and frame.

  • Use mild detergent and a soft cloth to clean. Do not spray detergent directly onto the stroller.

  • Pay attention to cleaning the wheels well.

  • Let it air dry completely.

Where can I find the washing instructions for fabrics?

You can find the washing instructions on the label inside each fabric. Generally speaking: All fabrics are washable. Spot clean or hand wash in cold water with mild detergent. Dry flat and away from direct sunlight before re-use or storage. DO NOT bleach, iron or dry clean. To extend the life of your stroller’s fabric, keep it clean and do not leave it in direct sunlight for long periods of time.

I’m at the beach, is my stroller resistant to salt water?

No. Your Glüxkind stroller is not resistant to salt water. Be sure to to take extra care to clean your stroller after a day at the beach or in the snow/slush after the road has been salted.

How should I clean my wheels?

Use a brush to clean dirt from the wheels. For more thorough maintenance, periodically remove the front wheels from the chassis with the quick release button and brush off any dirt or sand from the inside axle of the wheel. Use a cloth and water to wipe down after the bigger pieces of dirt has been brushed off.

How often should I pump my tires?

The tires on Glüxkind stroller are air tires for added comfort. You should check the tire pressure on a monthly basis. If you notice the tires are deflated, pump them up with a bike pump to the specifications listed on the tire wall.

My tire has a puncture, how do I repair it?

The tires on Glüxkind strollers can be repaired just like how bike tires can be - with tire patch kits (found frequently in bike stores). Sometimes damage may be too significant to use tire patch kits to repair, in such an event the entire wheel will need to be replaced. Please contact support through the companion app to get this resolved.

Does Glüxkind offer payment plans?

No. Currently Glüxkind does not offer payment plans.

I’m trying to place an order, but the payment is not going through, how come?

There may be a many reasons why a payment is not going through. If your payment is not going through, you can try double checking the payment details or another card or wait a few minutes.
