Why our strollers are named after grandmas
Family at the Heart of Innovation
At Glüxkind, technology is only part of the story. It’s the enabler not the main character. When we set out to design the world’s most supportive stroller, we wanted it to be more than a piece of equipment—we wanted it to feel like family. Family who’s always there to support - on good days and the hard ones. Who could better represent that than a new grandma, who has just watched her baby become a mom.
That’s why our strollers are named after Glüxkind’s co-founder Anne’s grandmothers, Rosa and Ella.
Grandmas embody unconditional love, steady support, and wisdom—the very qualities we believe every parent deserves as they step into this new chapter of life but fewer get to enjoy on a daily basis with grandparents getting older and families being spread across the country or even globe.
The Care of a Grandma
Which image comes to mind when you think of the love and support of a grandma?
It might be one of the following:
She’s the one who rocks the baby to sleep so a tired mom can take a shower and focus on her own heealing.
She drops off nutritious, home-cooked comfort food, knowing the new parents haven’t had time to cook.
She quietly folds laundry, sanitizes bottles or leaves a note of encouragement reminding you, “You’re doing a wonderful job.”
Grandmas instinctively care for both the baby and the parents. They look out for everyone’s best interests, filling in the gaps without being asked.
That spirit is what we wanted Glüxkind to carry forward.

When we thought about what new parents really need, the answer was clear: support. Mentally and physically. the early days of parenthood are wonderful but overwhelming, often lacking the support system that would create that bubble, that pause around the growing family. We’ve envisioned support not for the baby, but predominantly for mom and dad. That’s why every Glüxkind feature was designed with the care of a grandma in mind.
