Life on the Hill: Testing the Gluxkind Stroller in North Vancouver
Let’s be real—parenting in North Vancouver is beautiful, but steep… in more ways than one.
Between two energetic little kids, a business that keeps me on my toes, and the daily treks up and down these infamous hills, I’ve learned that anything that makes my day even 5% easier is a total win.
So when I got the chance to try the Gluxkind Rosa smart stroller, I was curious. I’d seen the buzz online and met the founders at an entrepreneurship event and I was intrigued, but I wanted to first know how it handled our sidewalks.
Let’s just say: it delivered.
Smart assist up the daycare hill = total game changer
We don’t just live on a hill—we live at the top of a mountain. My two kids go to daycare at the bottom, and every day I drive 10 blocks just to drop them off and pick them up. I’ve avoided walking it because pushing 100+ pounds uphill for 10 blocks is… no joke. You’d be surprised how intense it is.
So the first thing I did with the Gluxkind stroller? Walk to daycare pick-up.
I was shocked by how much the stroller assist changed the experience. Normally I’d be huffing, puffing, and dripping in sweat by the time I got to the top. This time, I pushed it with one hand. No leaning in, no struggling. The stroller’s intuitive push-assist made it feel like I was walking on flat ground—even when my calves knew otherwise.
Off-road adventure mode: engaged
As a family, we’re always on the go—and we don’t stick to sidewalks. One thing I’ve noticed with other strollers is how easily they get stuck or sluggish on gravel, grass, or dirt trails.

My toddler asked for music, then hopped into the base of the stroller while my youngest sat up top (the double seat isn’t out yet, but we made it work for our short walk home).
